Shore Heritage Home Tour

Various sites across the North Shore.
You are invited to participate in this
unique opportunity to visit a selection of the North Shore's most distinctive
heritage homes. Owners and volunteers will answer your questions and guide
you through the sites.
A limited number of $15.00 per person
tickets will be sold at the West Vancouver Municipal Hall, Third Floor,
750-17th Street (925-7236) and North Vancouver City Hall, 141 14th Street
(987-7351).
Ticket sales must end Wed., September
15.

about our heritage resources and municipal heritage programs. Panels, brochures,

Park.
This very popular nature walk with Elaine
Graham, resident expert on the flora and fauna of Lighthouse Park, returns
this year. This walk is free, but space is limited and you must pre-register

Atkinson Lighthouse Tour
Sunday, September 20, 10:00 a.m.
Meet at the gate to the Lighthouse compound.
Join Don Graham for an interesting look
at the Point Atkinson Light Station. Don will also discuss long-term plans

Van Heritage Tree Walking Tour

Meet at Ambleside Park, next to the concession
stand.
Join Heinz Berger, former Municipal Parks
Manager, for this informative walking tour of the lower Ambleside / Dundarave
area. Heinz will point out significant landscape features, and will answer
questions regarding the care and maintenance of heritage trees and gardens.

Fascinating stories and a remarkable collection
of art works have been gathered for presentation at the West Vancouver
Museum & Archives. These five decades were stimulating times for potters,
painters and sculptors. The community was small and well connected - it
fostered a lovely atmosphere in which the artistic and eccentric could
thrive. Vignettes from the lives of some of these artists are featured
in this exhibition.
